Tutorial
Before you start cutting your fenders, you must have a clear idea of the kind of cut you want and exactly how you want it to look. Scroll down for some examples of existing cuts. Once you know what you want, using a felt-tip pen or marking tape, mark off on your fenders where you plan to make your cuts. Pay close attention to making both sides of the plastics symmetrical.
Once you have marked off all your cuts, it is time to start cutting. This can be accomplished using different tools. The most common of these are a jigsaw, hacksaw, cut off wheel, or a dremel. A good technique to use is to cut the fenders slightly larger than you intend to allow for mistakes. Continue trimming until you get the general look you want.
To finish off your cut, use sandpaper or a file to make the edge of your cut smooth and even. Optionally, after you're satisfied with your cut, you may lightly go over the edge of your cut with a blow torch. This will smooth off the edge and make it look like a factory finish.
